Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and any donation made through it. The website is operated by Haqqul Mubeen Old Guard Institute (“the Masjid,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this website or making a donation, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website or donate through it.

1.About the Campaign

This website collects voluntary donations toward the acquisition of land for a Masjid and the associated costs of establishing it for the benefit of the community, insha’Allah. Information about the campaign is provided in good faith and may be updated as the project progresses.

2.Making a Donation

All donations are made voluntarily and at the donor’s own discretion.
You must be the authorized holder of the payment method used, and at least 18 years of age (or donating with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian).
Donations are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD) or United States dollars (USD), depending on the portal you use.
We reserve the right to decline or return any donation at our discretion.

3.Campaign Disclosures

In the interest of transparency, donors should be aware of the following before contributing:

3.1Property Acquisition

The campaign is currently directed toward the purchase of a specific identified property. Please note that, due to circumstances beyond our control, an alternative property may ultimately be acquired. Donations will remain designated for Masjid land acquisition regardless of which property is secured.

3.2Online Payment Service Fee

Donations made through this website are subject to a processing fee charged by our third-party payment platform. This fee is retained by the payment processor and does not form part of the funds received by the Masjid.

3.3Equipment & Machinery Costs

A portion of the funds collected will be allocated toward the purchase of necessary equipment and machinery required for the project.

3.4Volunteer Travel & Fuel Expenses

Reasonable travel and fuel costs incurred by brothers volunteering to collect donations on behalf of the Masjid will be covered through the campaign funds.

3.5Printing & Marketing Materials

The cost of producing and distributing campaign materials, including flyers, is also covered through donations received.

3.6Banking & Administrative Fees

Standard banking and administrative fees associated with managing campaign funds will be deducted from donations as required.

3.7Tax Receipts

At this time, official tax receipts cannot be issued. An application for charitable registration has been submitted to the relevant authorities. Donors will be notified promptly upon approval and the issuance of our charity number, insha’Allah.

4.Payment Processing

Online payments are processed by an independent third-party payment provider (currently Global Payments). Your payment details are entered on and handled through the provider’s secure systems; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. Your use of the payment platform may also be subject to the provider’s own terms of service and privacy policy.

5.Refunds

Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error — for example, an incorrect amount or a duplicate transaction — please contact us at donations@masjidulghuraba.com within 30 days of the transaction and we will review your request in good faith. Where a refund is issued, it will be returned to the original payment method. Third-party processing fees may not be recoverable.

6.Website Content & Intellectual Property

Content on this website is provided for general information about the campaign. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete or free of errors. All content on this website, including text, graphics, and logos, belongs to the Masjid or its licensors and may not be reproduced without prior written permission.

7.Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

This website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Masjid and its trustees, officers, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it.
